Important Company Policies

  • All employess must sign in & out of Deputy when arriving, lunch breaks and when finishing your shift.
  • Mobile phone use is strictly prohibited during your shift, the only exception is for staff with phones provided by the employer and only used for work related purposes.
  • Smoking breaks must only be taken during your morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea breaks in designated smoking areas.
  • Lateness and absenteeism must be reported to your direct manager no sooner than 1 hour before your start time.
  • Absenteeism will be unpaid unless a medical certificate is supplied.
  • Overtime will only be paid with your direct managers approval.
  • Friends & family must not be in the workplace unless pre-approved by your direct manager.
  • Your provided uniform must be worn at all times. If you do not have suitable uniform contact your direct manager.

Important Safety Information

  • Always wear seatbelts on forklifts.
  • High-vis uniform or vest must be worn when working in the yard.

Leave Application Policies

  • All leave requests must be submitted through Deputy.
  • You must give at least four weeks notice of your intention to take annual leave of a week or more and one week’s notice is required for odd single days.
  • Weekend leave requests will be rejected unless a suitable replacement has been organised.
  • You have two days compassionate leave available for each occasion an immediate family member contracts an illness or injury that poses a serious threat to their life or passes away.
  • After 10 years of service you are entitled to 8 weeks of paid leave. This leave must be taken as soon as practical.
